Julia French entered the Travel Industry in 1984, having spent the previous 20 years in the field of Early Childhood Education.
During the years in Education, Julia lived and taught in Mexico and Greece, enjoying travel opportunities offered by summer vacations.
Moving into the field of Travel seemed to be the next step forward, and it has provided expanded avenues to offer adults as well as children adventures and discoveries.
She has earned the Certified Travel Counselor designation and Certified Destination Specialist for the South Pacific, Western Europe and the Caribbean.
Julia has traveled extensively and greatly enjoys helping other people to add adventure to their lives.
Special interests include Family Travel of all varieties. Becoming better informed about other cultures and countries., and working with people are deeply satisfying for Julia French.

My Recent Trips
Recent trips have included 10 days in August 2005 visiting the Maya World in southern and eastern Mexico and the Yucatan peninsula, This was an Educational Seminar designed by Virtuoso for members.
In addition, Julia accompanied the entire Portfolio Travel staff to Manchester, England to visit lovely Country Homes, now hotels, in Skipton, North Devonshire, the ancient city of Chester in Eastgate and Windemere in Cumbria. The weather was lovely. even though February, the people were gracious and generous with their time, and the hotels delicious in style and comfort.

Jackie joined the travel business in 1993 after a successful career with a large corporation. Since then she has taken advantage of education opportunities in the industry to keep herself up-to-date in all phases of the travel business. October, 2006 – Visited the North and South Islands of New Zealand
August, 2006 – At our annual meeting, enjoyed the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
July, 2006 – sailed the Baltic Sea with Silversea Cruises
February, 2006 – Visited the Devonshire Arms, The Chester Grosvenor, and Holbeck Ghyll hotels in England.
February, 2006 – Stayed at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park in Lower Manhattan and visited the Darwin Exhibit at the Natural History Museum.
October, 2005 – Spent 2 weeks in Peru on an Amazon cruise and an expedition to Machu Picchu.
May, 2005 – Spent 2 weeks in Chili at explora lodges in Patagonia and the Atcama Desert and the Ritz Carlton in Santiago.

In 1999 Norma became a Premier Aussie Specialist and she sends many individuals and families to Australia and New Zealand. Her 4th trip Down Under will be for a month this September. As a singer and board member for the Choral Arts Society of Washington she has tailored, since 1993, special trips for its board and friends to Russia, Italy (twice), England, France, Buenos Aires and Rio, and the Tetons. August 2005 Coordinated board trip for Choral Arts to Buenos Aires, and Rio, and sang in some of the most beautiful opera houses and experienced tango
Dec 2005 Virtuoso Educational trip to Berlin and Dresden covering art, architecture and extraordinary new and rebuilt hotels
May 2004 Voyager Club host on Crystal Symphony sailing from Lisbon to Rome with extensive extension to the Amalfi Coast afterwards
March 2004 cruise on the Monet to Venice, Dubrovnik and the Dalmation Coast
March 04 & 03traveled for a week each to coordinate travelers for a fund raiser in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
June 2002 Traveled to Santiago, Chile and Patagonia to stay at Explora and enjoy hiking, riding and skiing
